SUMMARY OF THE MENTOR TEXT:
One morning, Oliver woke up to find he had a terrible case of bedhead. His family heard his screams and came rushing upstairs to see if they could help him manage his hair. They tried pushing, pulling, and wetting it with no success. Next, the family decided they would try putting spray, gel, mousse and hair pins in Oliver’s hair to see if it would help, which it did not. When Oliver tried to brush it, the brush got stuck in the back of his head! Finally, it was decided that Oliver would wear his old blue baseball hat to school and cover up his bad hair day.
However, when he got to school, Oliver learned it was picture day and he would have to remove his hat! Everyone stood ready for the picture and just as the photographer was about to take it, Oliver’s hat flew off his head. His hair was wild again and the brush flew out hitting a classmate and his teacher. The resulting class photo was one to remember!
