SUMMARY OF THE MENTOR TEXT:

Olivia wakes up every day, ready to go! She gets out of bed, combs her ears, moves the cat, and brushes her teeth. She lives with her mom, dad, and brother, Ian.

This story allows readers to get a glimpse into the life of Olivia. We see that she is active, wearing out her mother and all those around her! She goes to the beach where she builds a sandcastle. She also goes to a museum which inspires her to paint her own piece of art!

The story ends with her mother snuggling her at night, reminding Olivia that although she may wear her out, she loves her. Students will be able to make connections to Olivia as they read about her daily adventures!
