SUMMARY OF THE MENTOR TEXT:

A young girl is walking when she thinks about doing things differently. She wants to make a change, but seems hesitant. The Road tells her to be brave and to be strong. As the girl continues to question about these decisions on the path, the Road reminds us that the most important thing is to keep going.

This beautiful story is told by a poet and activist, partnered with beautiful illustrations that will engage readers of all ages. This story shares that we are all capable of making the best decisions for ourselves and that it is important to take risks.
